CafeRista opened in September 2010 with the mission to spread good local espresso, locally roasted artisan coffee and fresh food to Edmonton's West End. It is a family owned and operated business, and we pride ourselves on being integrated into the community in which we operate. We have worked with our roasters to source out coffee that is fair trade, environmentally friendly AND locally roasted. We want people to feel good about the coffee in their cup!
We specialise in fresh and prompt service of breakfast and lunch, using quality sourced ingredients and local to Edmonton where possible. We take pride in offering a wide range of food at an inexpensive price, and strive to provide exceptionally quick service so that we can be a good dining spot for the busy person on the go. As well, we train our staff to excel in personal and friendly service, with our goal being to make friends of our clients. We feel that it is YOU, the customer, that makes an establishment great, and to that end, we always want to forge a friendly personal relationship with you.

In addition to our in house service, we do offer takeout catering for business lunches or family get togethers, as well as private parties in house. Always open to suggestions, if there is something you would like to see, please ask us, and if we are able, we would be more than happy to create something personal for you and your dining needs.

We acknowledge, respect and honour that we are situated on Treaty 6 Territory, and that this is an ongoing covenant since 1876 involving all residents of this region and of which we strive to be responsible, compassionate and proud members. We believe in the tradition of the space on which Edmonton is situated being a place of welcome, abundance and community for the Indigenous Peoples of Western Canada since before non-Indigenous settlers arrived, and are strongly committed to carrying on this ancient tradition both within our space and the community at large. To this end, we feel that only through a complete and full manifestation of the spirit of Treaty 6 can our community be made to be a harmonious family which welcomes all people, regardless of creed, race, tradition, sexuality, origin or age. The spirit of Treaty 6 is a covenant of kinship and we are proud to play our part in creating a larger human family, starting in this space, and then growing into our community, nation and planet. As Treaty people, we feel that the spirit of Treaty 6 as one of kinship can play a transformative role not only within this territory but also within the human community internationally.
